Robert M. Sherfy graduated summa cum laude from California State University Fresno in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and graduated from San Joaquin College of Law in 1978. Robert served as Deputy County Counsel for Kern County from 1979 to 1981 before joining the Bakersfield City Attorney’s Office as an Assistant City Attorney from 1981 until 2009. Sherfy then practiced with Borton Petrini, LLP from 2009 to 2011, and served as “of counsel” to Leibold McClendon & Mann from 2014 to 2024. He specializes in municipal law, CEQA compliance/litigation, personal injury, and contracts.
